Complaint Demanding Trump Administration Release Debt Ceiling Strategy

Amidst increasing uncertainty over the Administration's plans to deal with the debt ceiling, Protect Democracy filed FOIA requests for communications within the Administration on the topic, aimed at revealing any plans to use it as an undemocratic tool to demand policy concessions that Congress would otherwise reject. With the Administration having failed to comply with the FOIA request, Protect Democracy filed suit to compel compliance.
